Jennifer Hudson to Star in 'Winnie' Biopic

Singer/actress Jenifer Hudson has accepted another historical role; she will be playing Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, wife of former South African president Nelson Mandela, for a biopic based on Anne Marie du Preez Bezdrob's biography 'Winnie Mandela: A Life.' The Decemberists -- known for favoring avant-garde projects -- have released a full-length animated video to coincide with their most recent album, 'The Hazards of Love.' The band's new video titled 'Here Come the Waves: The Hazards of Love Visualized,' features musical excerpts from the disc with psychedelic animation, created by filmmakers Guilherme Marcondes, Julia Pott, Peter Sluszka and Santa Maria. 'Assassin's Creed II' Original Soundtrack - New Music

Award-winning composer Jesper Kyd has created another epic score, the soundtrack for 'Assasin's Creed II,' which dropped Nov. 16. Complimenting the game's storyline about a young Italian noble during the Renaissance era who befriends da Vinci and encounters Florence's most powerful families, the score is packed with acoustic guitar and vocal solos, symphonic orchestrations and a full choir – providing emotional depth at heartrending moments and intense anticipation leading up to action/battle scenes.

The Used 'Born to Quit' - New Song

'Born to Quit' is The Used second single from their fourth studio album 'Artwork.' The album -- released this past August -- was produced by Matt Squire (who has engineered albums for Panic! at the Disco, Boys Like Girls, and 30H!3). Although the single's lyrics aren't so uplifting: "The further you go, the less you'll know / You're born to quit, you've blown it (you've blown it)," the song proves The Used are moving into a pop direction comprised of catchy, memorable tunes.
